Matt Weesner joined CPR in 2004. Professional background: Matt has been a host and producer with CPR Classical since 2011. Prior to that, he managed CPR's Technical Operations Center. His public radio career began at South Dakota Public Broadcasting where he was the Radio Program Director, an All Things Considered news host and a music host. He continues to host and produce SDPB's weekend Americana music show called "On Record" (on the air since 2004). Matt also worked in commercial radio in Sioux City, Iowa (Album Rock KSEZ-FM and Full Service/Country KMNS-AM). He started working in radio while still in high school, hosting weekends at KHBT-FM in Humboldt, Iowa. Outside of his career in radio, Matt is a musician. Since 2010, he's worked as a pianist/keyboardist with legendary Colorado vocalist Hazel Miller (jazz, blues and R&amp;B). As a sideman, he's also backed national touring country music artists and has worked as a church music director. Education: Matt studied music at Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa.
