Michelle began her reporting career at a Denver business weekly, spent five years at the Colorado Springs Gazette and later moved to The Denver Post where she served as a state and local government reporter, an assigning editor, city editor and national/international editor. Awards: As city editor at The Denver Post, Michelle helped lead the newspaper to a Pulitzer Prize for its coverage of the mass shootings at Columbine High School.
